Privacy and saved data
Short version: there are no accounts, your images never leave your device, and saved gradients live only in your browser.
What stays on your device
- Saved and recent gradients and the gradient you were last editing are stored in your browser’s localStorage (keys starting with
gs:). They are never sent to us. Right now you have 0 saved and 0 recent gradients. - Images you open in the palette extractor are read with the Canvas API in your browser. They are not uploaded.
- Share links contain the gradient itself after
#g=. The part after#is not sent to servers when the link is opened.
What is sent to a server
- “Describe it, get a gradient”: when you press Suggest, the text you typed (up to 200 characters) and your current gradient’s colours are sent to our server and passed to an AI model via Vercel AI Gateway to generate a suggestion. We don’t store the text. Don’t type personal information into it.
- Analytics: we use Ahrefs Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics service, to count page views and see which tools are used. It does not use cookies or build advertising profiles.
- Hosting: the site is served by Vercel, which processes standard request data (such as IP address) to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
